I Love New York!!!

New York City: what's not to love or hate. It is definitely a consant struggle. The bumper to bumper traffic, the endless potholes, no parking no parking no parking, jay walking, and the crowded, smelly trains that make you want to scream.

However, there are those rare occasions where you find yourself walking the streets at night and suddenly you smell the roasted peanuts, you are surrounded by the bright lights, and nearby lovers stroll the park hand in hand. Let's not forget the free furniture that can be found on garbage day at the curb. One minute I am throwing my couch away and the next minute someone is carrying it off to their humble abode.

It doesn't take much to love New York, but oh how quickly the anger rises and suddenly you are wishing you lived in the suburbs on a quiet street.

So what am I feeling for New York today? Well, love is in the air as I plan the weekend with the hubby and I am excited to wake up tomorrow and WALK to Clinton Bakery for some brunch with good friends. What can I say... I LOVE NEW YORK!!

I swear...you read my mind as to how I have been feeling as of late. I have been craving a beautiful house in the suburbs although love the craziness and diversity of our wonderful city. Well, that was after I took the train to work yesterday and nearly got pushed down by impatient crazies who don't know how to take a second to smell the roses.

On a lighter note, cant wait for CLinton Street tom and to see your beautiful face.

I can't believe someone pushed you!! Thank God this crazy puerto rican wasn't there lol. And yes, I love the thought of having a backyard... But we have central park :). What happened with the simpler days of Saturday morning cartoons and frosted flakes? now we are making all these grown up decisions. * sigh*

Love this entry! So true! I was just thinking about how much I miss just hanging out in the city! I live in the suburbs and miss that busy city. Wish I could hang out as often as I used to.
Nice blog;) Thanks!
