150 Million Orphans Around the World...

So I was browsing through my Popular Photography magazine and I came across an article titled, Father Figure, by John Owens, and it struck a cord in my heart. The article was about a photographer by the name of Paul Kline who was moved to start THE SILENT CHILDREN PROJECT. After hearing that there were over 150 million orphans around the world, his goal soon became to photograph orphans from across the globe by September of 2010.

Of course this becomes a chain reaction of events, because after I heard the statistics,  I couldn't help but do more research and I came across his blog, http://www.paulkline.com/blog/, which brought me tears. He has traveled to countries like Egypt, Ukraine, and Panama in the hopes of making a difference.  The Silent Children Project was created by Paul and his wife as a way to give back the voice of the children, however, it has evolved into something greater.

His photographs are amazing and truly capture the heart of a child. Words can't express how I felt when I ventured onto his website. For more information or to simply check the images of the beautiful children, please check out Paul Kline's blog, as well as The Silent Children Project, and remember to keep the orphans close to your heart and in your prayers.

How are you making a difference?

Italy in April 2009 ...

One of many, say 3,000 or so, pictures that documented our trip to Italy. One of the most amazing trips I have ever taken.

History lurking in every corner...

my gladiator ;)

The Colosseum or Roman Coliseum can be found in the center of the city of RomeItalyOccupying a site just east of the Roman Forum,  its construction started between 70 and 72 ADCapable of seating 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. It has been estimated that about 500,000 people and over a million wild animals died in the Colosseum games.

A moment to capture....

What are some of your favorites places to visit?

The Age of Innocence

This post has been dedicated to children and the innocence that can be seen in their beautiful eyes. I can't help but get all mushy inside when I look at these pictures and think of how pure their hearts are.

Enjoy this series of pictures and hopefully we can live life just as they do.....

If Christ calls us to have the mind and heart of a child, what does that mean for us?

Un Amor Grande...

As you know, a picture can speak a thousand words and at times it can evoke some great conversation, a controversial issue and a LOL moment with some of the cutest images captured unexpectedly. My love for photography has grown through out the years and I must say that my relationship with the camera has been a long-lasting love affair. To be able to capture moments that will be treasured for a lifetime, is a precious gift. It is one that I do not take for granted. Moments in history, relationships unfolding, friends sharing their lives with one another, children at play, cities at their finest all across the world, and God's amazing creation we like to call "nature"...

All waiting to be captured through my eyes.
With that said, I have decided to create a blog that expresses my deep love affair with photography and to be able to share them with those I love. I will be posting pictures that I have taken, pictures from past and present photographer's, thoughts on life, driving questions etc etc...please feel free to explore my blog posts, leave a comment, spread the word, and maybe even become a follower.

I am so excited to see how this might evolve and know that you have a space here to express your thoughts on life, love, laughter and share any photographs you have been so privileged to captured in time.

Enjoy and remember...
