The Colosseum or Roman Coliseum can be found in the center of the city of Rome, Italy. Occupying a site just east of the Roman Forum, its construction started between 70 and 72 AD. Capable of seating 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. It has been estimated that about 500,000 people and over a million wild animals died in the Colosseum games.

I just finished seeing the movie Gladiator too...looove that movie! I want me a Maximus! :)
