When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence. ~Ansel Adams

150 Million Orphans Around the World...
So I was browsing through my Popular Photography magazine and I came across an article titled, Father Figure, by John Owens, and it struck a cord in my heart. The article was about a photographer by the name of Paul Kline who was moved to start THE SILENT CHILDREN PROJECT. After hearing that there were over 150 million orphans around the world, his goal soon became to photograph orphans from across the globe by September of 2010.
Of course this becomes a chain reaction of events, because after I heard the statistics, I couldn't help but do more research and I came across his blog, http://www.paulkline.com/blog/, which brought me tears. He has traveled to countries like Egypt, Ukraine, and Panama in the hopes of making a difference. The Silent Children Project was created by Paul and his wife as a way to give back the voice of the children, however, it has evolved into something greater.
His photographs are amazing and truly capture the heart of a child. Words can't express how I felt when I ventured onto his website. For more information or to simply check the images of the beautiful children, please check out Paul Kline's blog, as well as The Silent Children Project, and remember to keep the orphans close to your heart and in your prayers.
How are you making a difference?
